Eastbourne Shines as Time Out's Top UK Destination for 2023

Exciting news for Eastbournians, travellers and adventure seekers! Time Out, the renowned global travel and lifestyle publication, has just released its list of UK Best Places to Visit in 2023, and Eastbourne has taken the top spot.

You can read more about it here and see the 14 places to visit after Eastbourne here. We've come away with some great trip ideas, all accessible from Eastbourne train station, so don't forget to pick up your coffee at Foundry Coffee first 😉.

Time Out sent a roving reporter to visit Eastbourne to check it out for themselves. We hosted them for a quick breakfast before they hopped back on the train to London. They made this awesome reel for Instagram. Even though we live in the town, there are some fab suggestions that meant our weekend was sorted (highly recommend the Beachy Head Story!).

24 hours in Eastbourne from Time Out

Eastbourne's burgeoning reputation as a thriving creative and cultural hub has been solidified with the upcoming 2023 Turner Prize exhibition hosted at the Towner Eastbourne art gallery from September. Alongside this prestigious event, Eastbourne is set to welcome more visitors with events such as The Screen International Film Festival and Beach Life Music Festival. The town's vibrant live music scene, unique independent shops, and delicious coffee shops, restaurants and pubs are also highlighted as must-visit attractions.

Time Out's recognition of Eastbourne as the top UK destination for 2023 is a testament to our town's allure and charm. Whether you're seeking natural beauty, adventure, culture, or simply a place to unwind, this proves what we've known for a while, Eastbourne has it all.
