LOCATION: GROVE ROAD

SCHEDULE: FULL-TIME/PART-TIME

We are looking for a Kitchen Porter to join our kitchen staff & maintain cleanliness around our restaurant!

As part of our kitchen & restaurant team, individuals will be responsible for collecting used dishes, plates & utensils, loading washing machines & stacking washed items appropriately. Please note that this role requires working in shifts & during the occasional evenings & weekends.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Collect used kitchenware from dining & kitchen areas

• Load & unload dishwashing machines

• Wash specific items by hand (eg. wooden cutting boards, large pots & delicate china)

• Store clean dishes, glasses & other equipment appropriately

• Set up workstations before meal prep begins

• Ensure there are always enough clean dishes, glasses & utensils, especially during peak hours

• Maintain cleaning supplies stock (detergents etc.) & place orders when necessary

• Check washing machine’s operational status & promptly report any technical/performance issues

• Remove garbage regularly

• Sanitize the kitchen area, including the floor

REQUIREMENTS & SKILLS:

• Previous work experience as a Kitchen Porter or Waiting Staff

• Hands-on experience with industrial washing machines

• Ability to follow instructions & help with various tasks as needed

• Excellent time-management skills

• Attention to detail & sanitation rules

• Availability to work in shifts, during weekends & evenings

• High School diploma is a plus
