DESCRIPTION:

We are looking for a Chef to join our team & prepare delicious meals for our customers!

As part of our team of chefs, individuals will be responsible for studying recipes, setting up complete menus & preparing high-quality dishes for our customers. The ideal candidate should be able to work independently & delegate tasks to other kitchen staff to ensure meals are prepared in a timely manner. A familiarity with all sanitation regulations is also essential. If you have experience with advanced cooking techniques & non-traditional ingredients, we’d like to meet you!

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Setting up the kitchen with cooking utensils & equipment.

• Study each recipe & gather all necessary ingredients

• Prepare & cook food in a timely manner

• The ability to work independently as well as delegating tasks to other kitchen staff

• Inform wait staff about stock/shortages or ingredient changes (if necessary).

• Ensure appealing plate presentation with each dish

• Supervise Cooks & assist as needed

• Modify recipes to meet customer needs & requests if needed (reduce salt, remove dairy, swap items etc.)

• Monitor food stock & place orders

• Check for freshness of food & discard out-of-date/spoiled items

• Ensure compliance with all health & safety regulations within the kitchen area at all times

REQUIREMENTS & SKILLS:

• Proven experience as a Chef or Cook

• Hands-on experience with various kitchen equipment

• Advanced knowledge of culinary, baking & pastry techniques

• Creative skills

• Ability to remain calm & undertake various tasks

• Excellent time-management abilities

• Up-to-date knowledge of cooking techniques & recipes

• Familiarity with sanitation regulations & understanding of COSHH & HACCP

• Being aware of & understanding all allergy procedures

• Culinary school diploma desirable
