DESCRIPTION:

We are looking for a skilled barista to join our team!

The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic & friendly individual with an eye for detail & the ability to remain cool under pressure. We are specifically looking for a team-player that is able to pour latte art consistently to a speciality standard & has a passion for delivering great service & great coffee in a fast-paced environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Setting up the bar for the day ahead – ensuring there is ample stock available, dialling in coffees to recipes

• Making speciality hot & cold drinks to brand-standard specification in a timely manner, every time

• Latte art on every milk drink

• Greeting & serving customers at the till & assisting them with their needs. Engaging with customers & always creating a warm, welcoming environment

• Running drinks & food to customers’ table & assisting with any additional needs or queries they may have.

• Cleaning & clearing tables in a timely manner

• General upkeep of the store & bathrooms

• Preparing basic food items

• Restocking the bar & floor when needed

• Working as part of a team to ensure a smooth-running shift

• Adhere to open & closing checklists

• Keeping on top of washing up

• Working as part of a team & being able to adapt to business needs

REQUIREMENTS & SKILLS:

• At least one year’s barista experience

• Latte art

• Knowledge of hand brewing (V60/Aeropress processes)

• Creative skills

• Ability to remain calm & undertake various tasks

• Excellent time-management abilities

• Food hygiene certificate preferable

• Understanding of COSHH & HACCP

• Being aware of & understanding all allergy procedures
